Questions
Everything renters ask us
Grouped so you can skip to the part that applies to you. If your question is not here, ask it — we answer properly rather than telling you to call for a chat.
Renting
Do you do rental moves, or only house purchases?
Rental moves are most of what we do. Feltham is a renting town — a great deal of it works at or around the airport, and people here move because a term ends, a break clause is used, a landlord sells or a posting changes.
That is a genuinely different job from a completion-day move, and it is what this firm is set up for.
We do not know where we are going yet. Can we still book?
Yes, and you should. A provisional date costs nothing to hold and can be moved as often as you need. Waiting until the onward address is confirmed is how people end up booking late into a market where the good dates have gone.
If there is genuinely nowhere to go yet, storage and a two-part move is almost always better than rushing a tenancy you have not properly seen.
Will the move cost us our deposit?
It is the biggest single risk to it, and almost none of that risk is in the van. Deposit deductions for damage are overwhelmingly scuffs on halls, stairs and door frames — fixed surfaces, not your own things.
So we protect those as standard on every job, including a single room, and we photograph the property empty as we leave it. Those photographs are your evidence at the check-out.
Do you move a single room out of a shared house?
Yes, and we treat it as a proper job rather than a favour squeezed between two real ones. It is a smaller load, not a lesser one.
The building is usually the complication rather than the volume — narrow stairs, fire doors on every landing, and a hallway that everyone in the house needs to use.
Shifts and hours
We work shifts. Can you move us outside office hours?
Yes, and it is normal here rather than an exception. Tell us what your pattern is and we will work to it — an early start before a late shift, or a move running into the evening after an early one.
A remover who only works weekday daytimes is asking you to take annual leave to be moved, which is a strange thing to have to do.
Is a weekend move more expensive?
No. A Saturday or Sunday is quoted the same way as any other day.
Charging extra for the only days a shift worker is reliably free is, in effect, charging people for their job.
How early can you start?
Early, and there is a point past which it stops being fair on your neighbours — particularly in a terrace or a block.
We will tell you where that line is rather than agreeing to something that gets you a complaint on your last day in the property.
How much notice do you need?
Less than most people expect, and more than none. Short notice is the normal condition here rather than an emergency, and we plan for it.
The honest answer is that the sooner you tell us, the more options you have — which is why a provisional date is free.
The area
Which areas do you cover?
Feltham, Hanworth, Bedfont, Hatton, Hounslow, Ashford, Stanwell, Sunbury, Whitton, Isleworth, Heston and Cranford — plus moves in and out of the area to anywhere in the UK.
A good share of our work is people moving to or from an airport posting, in both directions.
We are relocating for an airport job. Do you do that?
Regularly, in both directions. Airline and airport relocations tend to come with a date set by somebody else and a property found at short notice, which is exactly the shape of move this firm is built around.
If you are arriving into temporary accommodation first, say so — a two-part move into store and then out again is usually cheaper than moving everything twice.
Do you go outside London?
Yes. Plenty of our moves are out of the area entirely, and the Feltham end is still the end that needs the planning.
Booking and cover
How quickly will you come back to us?
We read everything that comes in and reply by email once we have been through it, normally within a working day or two.
If you have had notice and a date is already fixed, say so and we will treat it as urgent.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. We quote the whole job at a fixed figure, which matters more on a rental move than most — an hourly rate on a day you have taken off work puts the pressure in exactly the wrong place.
Are you insured?
Yes. Goods in transit and public liability cover are in place, and the level applying to your move is set out in writing with your quote.
Public liability matters on a rental move because so much of the route — halls, stairs, communal doors — belongs to the landlord rather than to you.

Whether the term is ending, the break clause is going in, the landlord is selling or it is one room out of a shared house — and tell us your shift pattern. We will work round it.
